Grand Prix-Kuala Lumpur has produced an odd historical footnote that's a first of its kind: an 8 year old managed to make the second day of competition.

Kurt Porter is his name, and he did it playing (what else?) Jund. It was a pressure cooker for the youngster to make the cut, needing to win in the final round of Day 1 to make it. It could be argued it's in Kurt's blood, as his father is James Porter who won Grand Prix-Manila in 2006.

From the official coverage on Twitter: "(blisterguy) 8 year-old Kurt Porter makes day two of #gpkl by keeping Garruk and Broodmate after being Blightning'd to win the Jund mirror!"

It's a truly impressive feat, and you can read the full coverage of the event here.
