With the second Magic cruise set to leave later this week, Steve Port of Legion Events has announced details are in place for the third cruise to take place in 2011. The event began a year ago with just shy of 100 participants enjoying a Carnival cruise from Texas to portions of Mexico. While onboard players enjoyed a PTQ, drafts, a special Cruise Invitational, and the presence of celebrity guests like Evan Erwin and Patrick Chapin. This year the cruise returned to much fanfare and a nationwide series of qualifiers, a circuit repeated after the success of the first year's such events.

The cruise costs range in 2011 from $499-709 depending on where on the ship you want your cabin to be located. A seven day event, the Carnival ship will depart from Los Angeles, California on February 6 followed by two days at sea and stops in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, Mazatlan, Mexico, and Cabo San Lucas, Mexico before another day at sea and a return journey to California.
